🎀 We are thrilled to have Dr. Zul Mirza, an esteemed Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the prestigious Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, as our main speaker. Dr. Mirza brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to guide us through this thought-provoking journey.

His specialist areas include alcohol and drugs of abuse. He has many peer reviewed publications and book chapters, including Mastering Emergency Medicine. He has given lectures nationally and internationally.

He is the Past President of Emergency Medicine, Royal Society of Medicine and has been on the Academic Board.

His presentations have been attended by Politicians and policy makes including those from the House of Lords.

He has spoken on BBC News, ITV, Sky News and Channel 5 News as well as on Radio including Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live.

He was awarded and was the sole recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award 2015 at Imperial College School of Medicine, which is one of the most prestigious awards offered to NHS lecturers.

Most recently he received the Audience award for his lecture at the European Society of Emergency Medicine 2022.

🎀 We are also delighted to have Azeem Ahmed, an inclusion consultant based in Newcastle.

In 2020 The Mirror called him β€œThe UK’s most generous man” after donating stem cells, blood and his spare kidney to different strangers in need. He’s passionate about raising awareness of donation choices as well as busting medical, cultural and religious myths on the subject.
